Massage Career Programs

The massage career program has two tracks: Holistic Massage or Therapeutic Massage. The programs are identical except for the 120 hour module that either goes into the Therapeutic techniques of deep tissue and trigger point release massage or the Holistic modality known as Polarity Therapy.

Module 4 - Advanced Massage, Advanced Anatomy and Physiology and Business Skills - 120 hours	Module 4 - Same
Instructor Supervised Clinic - 100 hours (Taken concurrently with last 3 modules)	Instructor Supervised Clinic - Same
Final Integration and Evaluation - 32 hours	Final Integration and Evaluation - Same

Typically Holistic Massage is more appropriate if you are working with children, the elderly, people trying to access more creativity or working on personal transformation. The Therapeutic Massage tends to be more appropriate for athletes and very physical people that may suffer from repetitive stress injuries or severe muscle strain or tension.

Both programs prepare for licensing and the National Certification Exam for Massage Therapy and Bodywork. The massage license does not differentiate between modalities.

The programs can be taken either on a full-time or part-time basis. The schedule for classes is as follows:

*The clinic is scheduled in 4 hour blocks on the days listed. You will need 2 blocks per week for the full-time program and 1 block per week for the part-time program. The clinic times will be scheduled after you have completed the first module and have done 30 documented practice sessions outside of class.

** Full-time day programs have a 1 hour lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30. There are 10 minute breaks approximately every hour so you can stretch, have a snack or get outside for some fresh air.
